From what they eat to the clothes they wear, the choices that celebrities make are closely monitored by the world. As appearances play a large role in the celebrity lifestyle, it certainly comes as no surprise that looks are a big topic of conversation. One of the biggest subjects when it comes to the appearances of celebrities is hair loss. From notably bald to suddenly thinning, these five celebs fought back against hair loss and won:
Perhaps one of the most recognizable bald celebrities of the 90s, Jason Alexander was often the butt of all bald jokes while depicting the character George Costanza on the hit series, Seinfeld. After the show, Alexander continued to sport his glistening scalp for several years. After some time out of the limelight, however, Alexander reemerged with a full head of hair. While Alexander did not confirm whether he is sporting a hair system or underwent a transplant surgery, the lovable actor looks decades younger and better than ever.
Despite remaining a leading actor in Hollywood films for decades, many were shocked by Travolta’s seemingly sudden and prominent receding hairline in 2011. By 2016, John Travolta underwent a hair transplant to restore his once luscious locks back to their former glory. With a completely natural look, those who missed the paparazzi snapshots over the five-year period likely never noticed the subtle transformation.
Honored with the title of People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” title in 2005, Matthew McConaughey’s thick hair only added to his allure. At the age of 30, however, the heartthrob began to experience every hunk’s worst nightmare: thinning hair. McConaughey took action with a series of treatments before losing a significant amount of hair. Today, his locks look even better than they did back in 2005.
Oscar Winner, Viola Davis, made her battle with alopecia public in recent years. Her hair loss first began at the age of 28 and, as a result, she turned to wigs to hide her patchy spots. After pursuing treatment options for her alopecia, Davis now embraces her natural hair.
Even world-famous pop stars are not immune to the effects of hair loss. Christina Aguilera has gone through several periods where her natural hair appeared to be thinning. Aguilera suffers from a specific form of alopecia, known as traction alopecia, which is caused by irritation from hair extensions. Since recognizing the effects of her often outrageous hairdos, Aguilera has been gentler with her hair and utilizes a number of remedies to keep her locks intact.
At Embassy Studios, we offer every proven method of hair restoration for women and men who want to regain a full head of hair; from totally undetectable wigs and hair additions to the finest non-surgical hair loss replacement solutions.
